- AER provides financial assistance
to active duty and retired Soldiers and their families in times of
distress. Emergency loans and grants are available for basic needs
such as: food, shelter, transportation, utilities, funeral expenses,
etc. The AER office can be contacted at the numbers listed above
regarding specific inquires. DA Form 1103 (USMA's AER
Application) must be completed by the applicant and approved by the
applicant's Commander or First Sergeant. Please call the West Point
AER office at (845) 938-4621/2519 to schedule an appointment
- Please note: The hours for the Army Emergency Relief Section at USMA are Monday through Friday
7:45am-4:30pm, excluding holidays. If the need for emergency financial assistance arises
outside these operating hours, the American Red Cross Armed Forces Emergency Service Center
can be contacted toll free at 1-877-272-7337. This Center is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days
a year.
- The Army Emergency Relief Campaign
has been extended until May 2. The AER mission is to provide emergency financial assistance to active duty Soldiers, retirees, and their dependents. Emergency assistance is also provided to surviving spouses and orphans of Soldiers who died while on active duty or after they
