An Affordable Vacation. . . Bull Pond Recreation Area 2008

RESERVATIONS:
Reservations for Bull Pond are accepted thru a lottery system for Active Duty Military Personnel and Cadets ONLY. Proof of Military ID is required at the lottery. Pre-lottery numbers may be obtained beginning April 1 by visiting Round Pond or calling 938-2503, 8am-5pm or at the lottery itself. Lottery will be conducted on 1st Sat in April beginning at 9am at Bonneville Cabin, Round Pond Recreation Area, Rt. 293. Check in start at 8:30. Lottery is limited to one (1) chance per house hold (one number-one pick). Spouse/sponsor unable to attend the drawing may send a representative with a signed proxy. Limit one letter per proxy. Numbers are drawn at random until all available dates are reserved or all lottery numbers drawn. Lottery winners may reserve the entire complex (both cottages) or just one cottage. Any dates available after the lottery will be opened up to all other eligible personnel beginning the following Monday, 9am at Round Pond on a first come-first serve basis. All reservations require a 100% deposit! Cash, check or credit cards are accepted.

1. Check-in Times are at 2:00 PM on Mondays and Fridays at Bull Pond!! Campers unable to arrive at Bull Pond by 2:00 are asked to please coordinate a time in advance. Check-out is at 10:00 AM sharp! A staff member will arrive at Bull Pond at that time to inspect the facilities and accept keys. Early departures need to be coordinated in advance.

2. No Refunds will be granted at any time. Campers unable to use their Bull Pond reservation are committed to securing an eligible replacement to assume their reservation. Contact the Round Pond Office, 938-2503, to record reservation changes. Round Pond will assist campers in securing replacements through waiting lists and post media.

3. Security of the Bull Pond facility is the responsibility of the user during the entire stay at Bull Pond. A gate at the entrance of the compound is equipped with a lock and key for your use.

4. The Stone House has sleeping accommodations for four persons, (one king-sized bed and a double pull-out couch), is equipped with heat, satellite TV/VCR, telephone (938-4224), full bath, and kitchen with refrigerator, gas range, microwave, toaster, sink, dishes, glassware, pots and pans, and utensils for 6 persons. The fireplace is not operational and is off limits for use. 

5. The Guest House accommodates five persons (three single and one double bed), is equipped with heat,
TV/VCR, telephone (938-3234), full bath and kitchen with refrigerator, gas range, microwave toaster, sink, dishes, glassware, pots and pans, and utensils to accommodate 6 persons.

6. Bedding is provided for each bed that includes blankets, sheets, pillows and pillow cases.

7. Towels, wash cloths and bath mats are also provided .

8. Cottage equipment, furniture or bedding is NOT to be used outside of the buildings

9. Water Front area includes sand beach, boathouse, dock and floating raft, a canoe, rowboat and paddleboat with oars, paddles and life vests, plus picnic tables, grills, volleyball area and horseshoe pits. Swimming is at the campers risk, no lifeguard is available. Boaters are to WEAR life jackets at all times. Fishing is encouraged: anglers age 16-adult must have a current NYS fishing license and West Point permit, (available at Round Pond and ITR). All fish kept are to be recorded in the “Reporting Box” located at the entrance gate to the Bull Pond complex. Each occupant will be issued a key to the boat house bottom floor housing a ping pong table, misc lawn games and boating equipment. 


10. User Responsibilities include police of the interior of the cottages and grounds upon checkout to the original condition prior to visit. Floors are to be swept, carpets vacuumed, games returned and all garbage placed in the outdoor containers. Cookware, dishes and utensils are to be washed and put away. Bed linins and used towels should be placed in the laundry basket provided. 

11. Property Loss and Damage will be accountable by the camper and will be replaced or repaired at the campers expense. A joint inventory will be taken by the camper and staff member upon check-in and check-out.

12. Open Ground Fires ARE PERMITTED IN THE FIRE RINGS PROVIDED ONLY. Fires in outdoor grills will be made only with charcoal.

13. PETS & WEAPONS ARE PROHIBITED. Violators will forfeit their remaining reservation if discovered during staff spot checks. 

14. EMERGENCIES, facility repairs, problems and service, occupants are to contact Round Pond, 938-2503.

15. Cottage phone numbers: Stone House 938-4224, Guest House 938-3232. Both numbers require a user access PIN# for out of area calls. 446-xxxx and 1-800 numbers do not require a PIN code.

MWR facilities are for eligible personnel only.
Active duty and retired military personnel, Air National Guard and Reserve personnel, family members of the above, DoD and retired civilian employees, and cadets are eligible to use MWR facilities. Proper identification may be requested by staff.
