The Round Pond Recreation area is located in a rocky, woody area, just three miles from the United States Military Academy. Round Pond is a clear mountaintop lake surrounded by a beach, playgrounds, picnic areas and campsites. The lake has lifeguards on duty at the swimming beach during the summer months. The Outdoor Equipment Resource Center, located behind the Round Pond Office and Bait Shop, has camping equipment, boats & trailers, party canopies and various sports equipment for rent. West Point fishing and hunting passes, as well as water ski passes for Stillwell Lake, are available at the Round Pond Office. The office also serves as the fishing boat control point.

CHECK-IN

Campsite check-in is 1pm - 5pm daily. All fees must be paid at check-in. Patrons must check out before 11am. 

Log cabin & cottage rental check-out time is 11am.

Round Pond reservations are ongoing now. 
Reservations can be made by calling  (845) 938-2503. Mon-Fri, 7am-6pm

• Reservations must be made by patrons ages 21 or older.

• Reservations will not be accepted for specific camper sites. Camper sites are assigned by size of camper.

• All reservations  require payment in full.

• Refunds will be made (minus $5 admin fee) within 72 hrs of check-in date/time.  No refunds will be made due to weather conditions.

In order for everybody to enjoy their stay at Round Pond we ask that you follow our few sensible rules.

• Camping & picnic areas must be kept clean and orderly.

• Help us preserve our woods. Please do not cut trees or trim branches for firewood, or dig up saplings.

• Firearms and bows & arrows are not allowed in the recreation area.

• ATV's and dirt bikes are not permitted in the recreation area.

• Fires in charcoal grills must be made with charcoal only; fires in ground pits may be made with wood. Open ground fires are not allowed at any time. Fires must be extinguished before you leave your area.

• Pets not allowed in the playground, beach, log cabins, rental cottage and picnic areas. Campers must clean up after their pets and pets should always be leashed and must not be left alone at the RV site. Boarding kennel is available at Morgan Farm (938-3926). Niusance pets will cause removal from campground.

• Camper and tent sites are strictly for family type outdoor recreation purposes and are not considered party facilities. Parties may be held at the picnic sites, pavilions and the Bonneville Cabin.

• The sponsor (person who made the reservation) is responsible for his/her guests and must be present at all times with guest.

• Camp sites are designed to accommodate 2 tents or one camper and no more than two vehicles. Up to six people are allowed at each campsite, unless an exception is authorized by management. Limit of 2 sites per reservation.

• Quiet time is from 10pm-7am.

• Loud music, excessive noise, vulgar language, trespassing on other sites, and any other actions which infringe upon the rights of other campers, are prohibited.
  Violators will be removed.

• Patrons 21 and older may consume alcoholic beverages in moderation.

• Washing of POV and/or campers is prohibited.

MWR facilities are for eligible personnel only.
Active duty and retired military personnel, Air National Guard and Reserve personnel, family members of the above, D0D and retired civilian employees, 

and cadets are eligible to use MWR facilities. Proper identification may be requested by staff.
