Location/Access: The Cragston Lakes are two small lakes (ponds) located in the southeast section of the reservation between James I. O'Neill High School and Morgan Farm. Access to the lake is excellent from Morgan Farm Road. Morgan Farm Road branches off from the junction of Routes 218 and 9W. Upper Cragston on the south side of Morgan Farm Road is about 1 acre in size, weed-choked, and has limited fishing. Lower Cragston provides all of the angling.

Fishing: Fishing pressure is moderate.

Species Composition: American eel, golden shiner, chain pickerel, redbreast sunfish, pumpkinseed, bluegill, YELLOW PERCH, LARGEMOUTH BASS, black crappie and brown bullhead.

Special Notes:

  1. The old West Point landfill is within the watershed. Although no leaching is known to occur, prudent anglers would limit their eating of fish from the lake.
