Attention Goose and Coyote Hunters!
West Point is extending the open dates for hunting these two species to coincide with the NYS open seasons. This year, West Point permitted hunters may pursue Canada geese on the reservation from 1 March to 10 March. Coyotes may be hunted until March 28th. All the usual NYS and West Point regulations apply. Check for area availability and sign out at the hunt shack next to Range Control as always.

NEW YORK STATE HUNTING LICENSES
D.E.C. has approved authorization for Recreation
Division to sell NYS Hunting Licenses for the first time ever at
West Point. They can be purchased at Round Pond, Bldg
1348. All applicable NYS policies, fees and eligibility apply.

coots, rails)- All hunters that wish to hunt any migratory bird species must
register with the HIP (Harvest Information Program) before going hunting for the
first time. See the information brochure on the HIP program for details, follow the WWW
link below, or call NYS DEC's toll-free automated info line at 1-888-4 ASK HIP
(1-888-427-5447). This is a requirement in all states.
