Location/Access: North-central portion of the reservation. Access from Rt 293 to Round Pond Road.

Fishing: Intensive. Fishing pressure from boats and shore is heavy in April and May and moderate the remainder of the fishing season. Although most of the fishing is directed toward trout, largemouth bass and panfish are also taken during the summer. The area is an intensively used, built-up recreation area.

Species Composition: RAINBOW TROUT, BROWN TROUT, BROOK TROUT, yellow perch, redbreast sunfish, pumpkinseed, bluegill, largemouth bass, black crappie, chain pickerel, yellow bullhead and banded killifish.

Stocking: Approximately 3,400 brook, brown, and rainbow trout eight to sixteen inches in length are stocked each spring.

  1. Open for fishing only during the NYS trout season, 1 April to 15 October.



  MWR facilities are for eligible personnel only.

Active duty and retired military personnel, Air National Guard and Reserve personnel, family members of the above, DOD and retired civilian employees, and cadets are eligible to use MWR facilities. Proper identification may be requested by staff.
