Programming
The School Age Center is a nationally accredited program that offers a comprehensive supervised curriculum. The foundation of the SAC curriculum consists of four service areas: 1 Sports, Fitness, and Health Options, 2 Life Skills, Citizenship, and Leadership Opportunities, 3 Art, Recreation, and Leisure Activities; and 4 Academic Support, Mentoring, and Intervention. Our 5,000 sq. ft. building boasts four large classrooms and a beautiful playground. The quiet room features Reading, Writing, Math, and Science Centers. The technology center houses 15 computers, digital equipment, and offers an area designated for homework assistance from qualified staff. Our Multi-Purpose Room offers activities such as table top games, Wii Fit, Lego building, yoga, tae-kwon-do, and additional fitness videos. Healthy food choices are planned by a nutritionist and served daily. This space doubles as an art area where creative experiences are explored. In addition, we offer sports & fitness programs and a variety of clubs. The clubs generate from the interests of the children and change periodically for all to enjoy! SAC Partnerships with 4-H, the Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA), and the Josephson Institute of Ethics Character Counts! curriculums provide children with additional options and opportunities for enhanced program options.
