USMA MWR: Ski and Snowboard Lessons

Registration for ski lessons will begin December 12, Monday thru Friday from 9am-5pm. Registration will take place at the Ski Rental office for ages 5 and older.

Welcome to the West Point Ski School.
The West Point Ski School takes great pride in offering you a reasonably priced group lessons. Our ski slope is one of the finest in the North-East. Each of our instructors are certified by either the Amateur Ski Instructors Association (ASIA) or the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and are all volunteers.

Lessons offered are for Ages 5 and older unless listed otherwise:

* All lessons are conducted in a “group” format. Private lessons are not available unless no other students enroll. Classes will be conducted for as few as one student however.
* Students needing equipment are encouraged to rent seasonal skis rather than daily rentals. SEASONAL SNOWBOARD RENTALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE.
* Students enrolled in the lesson group plan, will maintain the same instructor throughout the program, baring instructor illness or otherwise.
* Weekend lessons are taught by various instructors weekly.
* Lessons cancelled due to weather or Code Red will not be made up unless the instructor agrees to do so. Lessons cancelled due to instructor absence or lift malfunction will be added on at the end of the program.
* Students missing a class may not obtain a make-up on another day!!
* If you are a beginner, it is imperative that you make all of the first 4-5 lessons. Missing the early lessons will jeopardize your ability to progress with the rest of the class.
* After the first few lessons, instructors may suggest to a student that they should transfer into a more advanced group.
* Students enrolled in the weekday lessons are to report to the Ski Lodge 15-30 minutes early. You will be given instructions from the lodge.
