How West Point  Changed 

My Life

                   Hi, my name is Zachary and I live at West Point, NY.  I just moved during this summer here and I already like being here. When I first came to West Point I was scared I wouldn't make any friends and I would have a miserable time. The first time I went to West Point Middle School I met a girl named  Meg who became one of my many friends.  She showed me the way around the school and made me feel like I belonged at West Point.  After school, Meg went to the Y.S. with me and showed me around.  All the teachers where friendly and fun to talk to like Ms. Lisa.  I also made some really good friends like Tiffany, Malik, Kristen, and LaTranee.  It's was fun to always come and talk to my friends.  We always have snack, gym, homework, free time, and technology center time.  We always have fun activities and games to play.  I also like West Point because my friends are real close by.  I think West Point is the best place I have ever lived in my life and I have lived in a lot of places like Virginia , Texas, California,  and Hawaii.

                      Here at West Point there are a lot of fun after school activities like soccer, basketball, cub scouts, boy scouts, girl scouts, dance, hockey, football, baseball, skiing, snowboarding, tae kwon doe, and much more.  I play soccer and basketball for after school activities. In school for after school activities there are band, teachers help, and chorus. 

                    West Point is also a military academy.  Here, they teach cadets to learn to be in the army.  At West Point they teach many different subjects.  They have after school activities like football, basketball, soccer, rugby, swim team, tennis team, lacrosse, and many more.   

                    Here at West Point they have a lot of history about what has happened in the past.  For example, they have the great chain that ran across part of the Hudson River which made it so that the British soldiers couldn't travel across the river during the Revolutionary War.  Here they have concerts like The Nut Cracker. 

                    Here they have amazing sites like Trophy Point, The Hudson River, Michie Stadium, and many more.  I think West Point would be a great place to live because you are sure to make friends and have a great time.  When I leave West Point I'm going to be very sad.

                    The BGCA is really great because they provide us with different supplies to have fun.  For example, they provide us with computers, and cool contests.  The BGCA is wonderful.
